Work Trades
We offer 5 work trade positions. Most involve Cleaning, kiln packing, glaze mixing and other tasks to maintain the studio. Due to the amount of training involved we require a 6 month commitment (but people usually stay a lot longer!). We are looking to add a 6th so get in touch if you think this is for you. Previous experience packing kilns would be an advantage!
Scholarships
We offer 6 month open studio scholarships on a rolling basis. Our criteria varies but our scholarships are usually aimed at people who would struggle to attend the studio without one. We currently have two members attending on a scholarship. Please join our newsletter for announcements on the next round.

Free Drop ins
A couple of times a year we have a free drop in session. They’re aimed at children and families but open to everyone. Come make something fun, we’ll fire it and you can pick it up the following month.
Community Groups and Schools
We also host occasional workshops with community groups or schools. If you’re interested in taking a workshop with us please get in touch. All ages and abilities are welcome!
Open studio Meet Ups
We have two monthly meet ups for open studio members at 3000 Royal St (members at Dreux are welcome to attend too). Pottery mornings takes place on the 1st Thursday of the month. Here we do a demo or give advice on any pottery related issues.
Our evening meet up is led by open studio members. BYOB and meet your fellow members !
Empty Bowls
Look out for our Empty Bowls events. We encourage members and students to donate a food size bowl. Then we team up with a restaurant who fills it with food. You get a handmade bowl with delicious food and all the money raised goes to homeless charities. Last year we raised a whopping $2910 for Covenant House!
